What you'll need

  • Microsoft 365 subscription with Copilot enabled (Microsoft 365 Personal, Business, or Enterprise plan — Copilot is included in M365 Copilot add-on)
  • Excel desktop app (version 2302 or later) or Excel for the web
  • Your revenue data already in an Excel table (with headers in row 1)
  • Data must be formatted as an Excel Table: select your data range, then Insert > Table

Use Excel Copilot to Build and Analyze Revenue Models Faster

Step 1: Format Your Data as an Excel Table

Copilot works best when your data is in a proper Excel Table format.

  1. Click anywhere in your data range
  2. Press Ctrl+T (or go to Insert > Table)
  3. Check "My table has headers" and click OK
  4. Your table will have a blue/striped design — this tells Copilot where your data lives
